A Message from the Secretary-General
Siddhant Tandon, Secretary General DIAMUN 2022

My name is Siddhant Tandon, and I am serving as the Secretary-General for DIAMUN 2022. Last year, and the year before, DIAMUN was hit with an unfortunate series of events. Before Lemony Snicket takes the torch here - this year, DIAMUN has been set up for a comeback. Adaptation is the name of the game, and this year's team of capable and determined executive team members are ready to adapt DIAMUN to whatever conditions and circumstances the world throws at us. As the Secretary-General, I am excited to bring to you one of the UAE’s most prestigious and anticipated academic events, and I look forward to interacting with each and every one of you.

    As an admin, your main job will be to ensure that whatever assembly you’re overseeing runs smoothly. This includes passing out notes from one delegate to another, handing out resolutions, and counting up the number of votes at the end of each debate period. Sign up to be an admin here!

    As a delegate, you will be assigned a country and committee, and, along with fellow delegates, will create resolutions to the topics/issues presented to you. These resolutions will then be debated amongst your committee, developing your public-speaking skills and cooperation. Sign up now!

    As a press corps reporter, you will represent a news agency. Your job will be to inform the entire conference on the actions occurring in your committee through Press Corps briefings. You will have the liberty to choose which committee you wish to report on. Sign up to the Corps now!

Prizes

DIAMUN is the largest THIMUN affiliated conference in the UAE where each year we welcome roughly 700+ delegates who are eager to engage in challenging debates. This year we will be providing students who do exceptionally well at the conference with various prizes such as internships and vouchers, which include college counselling vouchers.
